K0 form factor and charge radius in a covariant Salpeter model.
The electromagnetic form factor for the K 0 is calculated in a covariant formulation of the Salpeter equation for q ¯ q-bound states, which has been presented recently for the mass spectrum, decay properties and form factors of the light pseudoscalar and vector mesons. The K 0 charge radius dependence on the difference between strange and down constituent quark mass is discussed.
متن کاملSolar Proton Burning Process Revisited within a Covariant Model Based on the Bethe-Salpeter Formalism
A covariant model based on the Bethe-Salpeter formalism is proposed for investigating the solar proton burning process pp → Deνe and the near-threshold deuteron disintegration via electromagnetic and weak interactions. Results of numerical calculations of the energy dependence of relevant cross sections and the astrophysical low-energy cross section factor Spp of the proton burning process are ...
متن کاملNeutron charge radius and the neutron electric form factor
For nearly forty years, the Galster parametrization has been employed to fit existing data for the neutron electric form factor, GnE, vs the square of the four-momentum transfer, Q 2. Typically this parametrization is constrained to be consistent with experimental data for the neutron charge radius. However, we find that the Galster form does not have sufficient freedom to accommodate reasonabl...
متن کاملCovariant diquark-quark model of the nucleon in the Salpeter approach.
We develop a rather simple, formally covariant quark-diquark model of the nucleon. The nucleon is treated as a bound state of a constituent quark and a diquark interacting via a quark exchange. We include both scalar and axial-vector diquarks. The underlying Bethe-Salpeter equation is transformed into a pair of coupled Salpeter equations. The electromagnetic form factors of the nucleon are calc...
متن کاملBc mesons in a Bethe-Salpeter model
We apply our Bethe-Salpeter model for mesons to the Bc family with parameters fixed in our previous investigation. We evaluate the mass of the pseudo-scalar Bc meson as 6.356 GeV/c2 and 6.380 GeV/c2 and the lifetime as 0.47 ps and 0.46 ps respectively in two reductions of the Bethe-Salpeter Equation, in good agreement with the recently reported mass of 6.40 ± 0.39 (stat.) ± 0.13 (syst.) GeV/c2 ...
